Annual International Biocuration Conference
The Annual International Biocuration Conference is a unique event for curators and developers of biological databases to discuss their work, promote collaborations, and foster a sense of community in this very active and growing area of research
Post-COVID, we aim to hold the Annual International Biocuration Conferences in Australia/Asia, North/South America, then Europe/Africa on a rotating basis.
Since 2012, Database: The Journal of Biological Databases and Curation has published a yearly Biocuration Virtual Issue with peer-reviewed works from our members attending the Biocuration conference. The goal of the OBO Academy is to provide ongoing training for the OBO community. We (the OBO Academy organizers) follow the flipped classroom concept: we provide you with materials to look at, and you work through the exercises on your own. During our biweekly meeting, we answer your questions, provide you with additional demonstrations where needed and go into depth wherever you are curious to learn more. This means that this course is most useful if you put in the time to go through the tutorials in advance. That said, we welcome anyone to just lurk or ask related questions
